The links of a Bracelet can be solid or hollow. Generally, solid is better, and denotes higher quality. Hollow bracelets tend to be more likely to squeak and rattle. Here's an example of a hollow link, from a [Casio] [G-Shock]:
You can see the folded layers in the middle. Light weight, though.
