I keep finding tidbits on the WatchUSeek forums, and this one is no exception. Previously posted here

Greve
is a watch startup with an unusual design and an unusual philosophy, very much akin to mine. Christian believes, as I do, in openness and transparency, saying up from where and how his watches are made: ETA movements, Fricker cases, Cador dials, Estima hands, assembled by Ermano Germany. Bravo!

The first watch from Greve is a unisex model, grey dialled with a red seconds hand. 3atm, ETA 2824-2 movement.

I like the red rotor; reminds me of Oris.
The red-outlined numerals make for an odd looking dial. I'd like to see one in person, as it's hard to tell from the pictures how well it works. List price is 650 Euros, might be less for non-EC countries but I don't know as I've not the spare funds at the moment.
Here's Christian:
First of all: all things I write about "The way to the watch" you can publish on your website. But think about my English.
Many times when I see an interesting watch I asked myself: Who made all the parts of it ? But I get no answer from the companys. So, I wanted to make it better. I thought many persons wants to know more details about a watch and not only the brand.
In 2009 I contact these specialist companies: Feintechnische Manufaktur Fricker (Case), Cador (Dial), Eulit (Strap), Eta (Clockwork), Estima (hand) and Ermano (assembling).
First I want to make a watch for men and women. I found a high quality german made case at Fricker. Mr. Fricker is an interesting man I met him in Pforzheim. Many ideas in his head and problems (special technical) are no problems for him. Fricker made many cases for leading watch brands. The company is high specialist in making cases. Second I need an excellent and robust work. So the eta 2824-2
was the first choice. I met in Grenchen (a small town in swiss) a eta representative who told me that all eta mech-works parts are made to 100% in switzerland and he told me about the 1970th when the swiss watch industry was nearly destroyed. Today it prosper. Also in Grenchen I visited Estima the hand producer. Estima is on of the last independent hand manufacturer in Switzerland. The most companys are now part of the swatch group. I saw many special (and loud) machines. These company can made every hand for every watch. Mr. Gerber from Estima was very interesting about my watch project and told a lot about the high quality production of Estima. The dial come from Cador in Eimeldingen (Germany). Cador made for top leading watch brands in Germany and Switzerland dials in very high quality. Mr Reisch told me that thousands of different dials were made year by year. I could see step by step the production of a dial. Very impressive! The strap made by Eulit in Bavaria. All handworks ! Made in Germany not in China. They also make the straps for Maurice Lacroix. In the manufacturing I saw all steps of production from the leather warehouse to the end control. At last I saw the assembeling of my watch at Ermano in Pforzheim. Mr Stahl showed me whole assembeling line. The newest mashines and high qualify personal guarantee best quality assembeling. Very interesting: A part of the building stands at the same place where the old Stowa-factory stands.
As I told him, his English is better than my German. ![]()
Interesting watch. Very original design. As a huge fan of small watch companies, I hope he succeeds famously!
