I am now an official beta tester for the Gamma Scientific flexOptometer. Looks like this:

I also have a set of neutral filters, sensor and matched filter.

Tested the computer interface, it uses the same FTDI chip as the Arduino, so I plugged it in and used screen to talk to it:

Initial tests with the super-bright Marinemaster and dim-tritium-based Luminox 6402 Blackout are quite promising - we can do this!

Next steps - construct the beamline, then its time to write some Python to automate the collection of the data.
